Lane Thibodeaux is Board Certified in Criminal Law and Criminal Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Lane has tried more than one hundred criminal cases to jury verdict or mistrial, including two capital murder-death penalty cases. He has also been attorney of record in more than one hundred appeals. Lane was a member of the Committee for Death Penalty Approved Counsel for the Second Administrative District of Texas from 2012-2019. His short story, Bouquet by Numbers was the winner of the 2012 Texas Bar Journal short story fiction contest, and another, Boxes, was named a finalist in the 2017 contest. He holds a B.A. degree in Government from Sam Houston State University (1981), and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law (1985).
