Mrs. Williams founded The Williams Firm, PC, in 2006 to provide dynamic litigation practice to serve the legal needs of her community with integrity, compassion and experience. In 2011, she moved her practice to Polk County to serve East Texas. Dana T. Williams is a seasoned trial lawyer with 29 years of trial experience, including disputes involving real estate transactions, probate and fiduciary disputes, criminal cases, personal injury, and civil litigation matters. She is a certified mediator and also provides general business advice and counsel to small business clients to assist them forming business entities and in avoiding and resolving disputes. Mrs. Williams was a four year, Division 1 athlete and graduated from Lamar University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business, and graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1995. From 1995 to 2001, she worked as a trial lawyer for State Farm Insurance Company and for Progressive Insurance Company. She then became a partner at Martin, Disiere, Jefferson and Wisdom in Houston in the insurance litigation section from 2001 to 2006. Mrs. Williams was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2023 and 2024. Mrs. Williams has served as the Chief Judge of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribal Court since 2015 and as the Livingston Municipal Judge since 2018. Mrs. Williams has been married for 31 years to Theron Williams, Jr. and has two daughters, Sydney and Shelby. Mrs. Williams previously served as President of the Board of Directors for Make It Matter, Inc., a global non-profit, and served on the Board of Directors for Childenz Haven, the Polk County children’s advocacy center. Mrs. Williams is a member of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas as well as the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section. She also serves as a mentor for young attorneys with the Texas Indigent Defense Commission. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
