Dan is a partner in Hurley, Guinn, Singh and Von Gonten, 1805 13th Street Lubbock, Texas 79401. Dan graduated from Texas Tech Law School in 1978. After a brief stint as a assistant district attorney for Lubbock County Dan began representing the citizen accused in 1980. Dan is a very active trial lawyer throughout the state in both state and federal courts. He is the immediate past president of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and a past president of the Lubbock County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Hurley served as the Chairman of the TCDLA Lawyers Assistance Strike Force from 2000-2003. In 2015 Hurley was named Percy Foreman Lawyer of the Year in Texas. In 2018 Hurley was inducted into the TCDLA Hall of Fame.
