Shirley Lobel has handled federal criminal cases in Washington D.C., Texas, and elsewhere, for more than 30 years; she has also handled a variety of State criminal cases in Texas. She has represented individual defendants, the U.S. Government, law firms, financial institutions, and businesses. She frequently represents potential defendants and witnesses in state and federal investigations, both regulatory and criminal. She has represented both individuals and the U.S. Government in the U.S. Supreme Court and various U.S. Courts of Appeals, including the Fifth Circuit. She has taught trial advocacy, appellate advocacy and state criminal procedure; and has written articles for professional journals, including the ABA's Litigation magazine, and has lectured and prepared papers for professional programs sponsored by various organizations, including TCDLA and the State Bar of Texas.
