Kerri Anderson Donica is a solo attorney in Corsicana, where she has practiced for over 35 years in Navarro and surrounding counties. Kerri handles every aspect of the criminal trial practice, including all aspects of an interesting array of misdemeanor and felony cases. Kerri is currently defending her 14th and 15th capital murder cases and previously handled a capital appeal that resulted in a reversal of the death penalty verdict. Kerri received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and law degree from Baylor Law School. She is a Past President of Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (2019-20). Since joining TCDLA in 1987, Kerri has served on TCDLA’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Criminal Defense Lawyers Project and has had the privilege of serving in many other roles with TCDLA. Her proudest contribution is serving, with Lance Evans, as the dean of TCDLA’s Trial College. Kerri is also a TCDLA Super Fellow. Kerri is active in her community, having served as president of the Corsicana Independent School District Board of Trustees and is a trustee at Northside Baptist Church. Kerri has two sons, Hunter and Heath (married to Ashley) and three perfect grandsons – Brooks Donica, Maverick Donica & Jett Anderson Donica
