Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization-Criminal Law. Former Forensic DNA Technologist at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences. Kara has been an invited lecturer for continuing legal education courses in Texas and Costa Rica giving lectures on criminal law and immigration consequences. She has studied, criminal justice systems in Central and South American countries.
