A highly educated attorney, Ms. Brown received her undergraduate degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2009, where she was a President's List scholar each year there. She was on the Dean’s List at Texas Wesleyan (A&M) University School of Law every eligible semester, and she received the Alma and Ronnie Blackwell Scholarship along with other merit scholarships. During law school, Ms. Brown was a member of the Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Arbitration Competition Teams, was a teaching assistant, and was selected to law review, where her work was published. Ms. Brown obtained her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2013, graduating Order of the Barristers and being awarded the Equal Justice award for pro bono service. She then attended Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law, where she obtained her Master of Law in trial advocacy the following year. Nearing completion of her master's degree in forensic science as well as a certificate in Death Investigation, Forensic Science and Technology from the University of Florida, Ms. Brown has begun a master's degree in forensic psychology from the University of North Dakota. Ms. Brown is a graduate of the intensive and elite Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Among her other professional affiliations, Ms. Brown is an active member of the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where Ms. Brown has served as a board member since 2016, and serves on the Amicus, Appellate, Juvenile, and numerous other boards.
