About Member
I am a past president of TCDLA. I was appointed by the President of the State Bar to the chair of the Commission for Lawyer Discipline. I served as chair until 2011, becoming the first woman criminal defense lawyer to hold that position and the longest serving chair. In addition, I am in private practice handling only criminal cases and have done so for over 40 years. I'm board certified in criminal law and have served as President of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and State Bar Criminal Justice Section. I graduated from the University of Texas Law School. I author the West Publishing series, Texas Practice Volumes 7, 7A &8 entitled Texas Criminal forms and trial manual. In 2000 I was elected the first woman President of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in conjunction with its 30 year anniversary.
