WM. REAGAN WYNN is a criminal defense attorney with 22 years of experience representing citizens accused in state and federal criminal investigations, trials, and appeals. Reagan is also a husband, father, dog lover, lapsed yogi, occasional golfer, nearly pathological Dallas Stars fan, and aspiring ski bum. Reagan is a native-born Texan and proud Texas Longhorn. The only time he has not resided in the Lone Star State were the three years he spent obtaining his JD (and wife of 24 years) from the University of Notre Dame Law School. After law school, Reagan spent one year working as Briefing Attorney for the Honorable David Richards, Associate Justice of the Second Court of Appeals of Texas in Fort Worth. In the 22 years since the end of his tenure with Justice Richards, Reagan has become a well-known and respected criminal defense attorney. In September 2019, Reagan left the law firm he had practiced with for 22 years and formed Reagan Wynn Law, PLLC. Reagan’s practice is limited to the representation of persons and business entities in state and federal criminal prosecutions and investigations and he is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has an active criminal trial practice including representing clients in all varieties of criminal matters. In Texas State courts, Reagan has defended clients accused of everything from misdemeanor DWI offenses to felony intoxication manslaughter, all levels of state theft and fraud charges, felony sex crimes, and numerous other aggravated felony prosecutions including many murder and capital murder cases. Reagan has also represented several juveniles accused of engaging in delinquent conduct by committing a variety of criminal offenses from comparatively minor offenses up to capital murder. In federal courts across the country, Reagan has represented clients in complicated white collar fraud prosecutions, healthcare fraud cases, criminal civil rights matters, federal sex crimes prosecutions, federal firearms cases, and federal narcotics matters. In addition to trial work, Reagan dedicates a significant portion of his practice to criminal appellate representation. He has authored briefs and presented oral argument in numerous cases before appellate courts, including, but not limited to, appellate representation of persons convicted of DWI, Narcotics Crimes, Sexual Assault, White Collar Fraud, Murder, and Capital Murder cases where the death penalty was imposed. Reagan has been elected by his peers to be listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2006-present, and was named “Lawyer of the Year" in the Dallas area for Criminal Defense: General in 2011 and Criminal Defense: White Collar in 2015.  Reagan was most recently named the "Lawyer of the Year” in the DFW Metroplex by Best Lawyers in the field of Criminal Defense-General for 2019.   Reagan is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Reagan formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and was President of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association in 2006. Additionally, Reagan serves as Co-Chair of the Strikeforce Committee of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association.
