Troy McKinney
Troy McKinney, a shareholder in Schneider & McKinney, P.C., has been licensed for over 25 years.   He graduated summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law and was a briefing attorney at the First Court of Appeals.  He is a Double Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law and in DWI Defense Law (opne of only two lawyers in the State to have both Board certifications).  He is a member of the Board of Regents of the National College for DUI Defense and is a past President of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association and past Board member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Criminal Defense Lawyer's Project.  He is a Fellow of the College of the State Bar of Texas and of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Educational Institute.  McKinney is co-author of Texas Drunk Driving Law (Lexis 4th Ed) and has authored a variety of articles that have been published in the Champion, Defender, and Voice for the Defense.  He is a frequent speaker throughout the country (25 states) and internationally (5 foreign countries) on DWI and other criminal law issues.  He has spoken and taught at over 140 CLE courses. The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association has twice named him the Outstanding Member of the Year.  He has repeatedly been named a "Texas Super Lawyer" in Criminal Law and in DWI Defense, a "Top Lawyer for the People" by H Texas Magazine, and one of "Americas Best Lawyers."

Doug Murphy
Doug Murphy is a partner with Trichter & Murphy, P.C. based in Houston, Texas focused on representing persons accused of intoxicated related offenses throughout Texas.  Doug is a nationally recognized legal seminar lecturer, and author of numerous published legal articles. Doug is a Regent with the National College for DUI Defense.  He is a co-chair of the DWI program with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for TCDLA.  Doug is board certified in DWI Defense by the National College for DUI Defense, NCDD certification program approved by the American Bar Association and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Doug is also board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Doug has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star by Texas Monthly magazine every year since the recognition began in 2004.  Doug is frequently sought after news commentator on DWI and other criminal law issues, and was referred to as the “Drinking Driver’s Best Friend” by the Houston Press.

Stephanie Stevens
Stephanie Stevens teaches Juvenile Law, Texas Criminal Procedure and is a Clinical Professor of Law in the Criminal Justice Clinic at St. Mary’s University School of Law.   Last year Stephanie won the Distinguished Law Faculty Award.  She is board certified in criminal law and is on the Board of Examiners for the Juvenile Law Certification Specialty.  Additionally, she is a past president of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association.
